Delete your account

In the app

Open Settings and tap Delete Account. Your account is deleted straight away.

By email

If you can't use the app, email [email protected] with the subject "Delete my account". Send it from the email address on your account, or include the phone number you sign in with. We'll confirm it's your account, for example by sending a code to that number, then delete it within 30 days at most and email you when it's done.

What's deleted

Your profile, photos, preferences, likes and matches, your conversations (for you and the people you talked to), and your verification result.

What we keep, and for how long

• Reports, reported content, and the content of banned accounts: up to one year.
• Records of banned accounts: as long as the ban lasts.
• Purchase records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
• Emails about support, appeals and privacy requests: up to two years.
• Access logs for people using Elsewhere from Brazil (IP address, date and time): 6 months, as Brazilian law requires.
• Server logs: up to 30 days. Database backups: up to 14 days.

Deleting your account doesn't cancel a subscription. Cancel it in your Apple or Google account's subscription settings. Our Privacy Policy has the full details.
